Cummings Racing has a lot of promising horses coming up through the grades and the son of Smart Missile SMART AIN’T HE is one of them. He will feel at home being trained at Randwick by the Cummings team with both Smart Missile and Ain’t She Grand racing with the team.

After finishing in the placings in his first two starts the 3YO gelding looked set to breakthrough and with Blake Shinn on board he had every chance. The 1200m was the perfect mark and after starting with haste he was able to get in forward position sitting off the speed. All looked lost when he was hampered and nearly fell but the tenacious galloper picked himself up and let down with a powerful finish prove too good.

It’s a real credit to the team who have raced the family and with the spring looming Smart Ain’t He will be given every opportunity to shine on the big stage.
