Leilani Lodge has a lot to look forward to as the Group racing commences for the 2018-19 season. The Gr3Show County Quality will see NO DOUBT resume and after two strong trials the stable and the ownership are eager to see him go to the races. Anthony and Edward decided to scratch from an easier race last week to take on a good field at Group 3 level at No Doubt’s home track.

The lightly raced 6YO gelding has impressed during his career and this campaign has been timed to allow him to really shine. The son of Not A Single Doubt won his first 2 races and since has been stakes placed at Group level with form around It’s Somewhat (Doncaster winner), Comin’ Through (Doomben Cup winner) and Lanciato (Newcastle Newmarket winner).

Anthony and Edward commented that “he is a lovely horse who was given a longer than normal lay off to give him every chance to step up in the Spring. He has been gelded and we expect a bold showing first-up in the Show County Quality on Saturday. He will improve from the run and we have the Epsom Handicap in mind later down the track”.

Our other runner is SCREAMARR who will run over 2400m in the BM 88 Bob Ingham Handicap. He goes into the race with good form after a closing 3rd in the BM89 (2000m) at Rosehill on the 28th July. Andrew Adkins has retained the ride after developing a strong association with Screamarr and we look forward to another good run at Headquarters.
